From the raised-by-a-cup-of-coffee department:
OK, there is going to be a very, very weird entry soon. I can feel it in my bones. I haven’t had a bout of silliness for days, and it’s welling up like a pressure cooker full of beans, with the safety valve stuck onto the top by only a valiant yet not-quite-strong-enough piece of tape.
You see where I’m going with this? I can physically *feel* the silliness pressure. And it’s not even Friday yet! Be ye warned, sometime soon the silliness will flow forth like a dam which, having had a crack forming slowly in its wall for days, is just about ready to unleash its pent-up pressure like a dam which … uh … which, having had a crack forming slowly in its wall for days, is just about ready to unleash its pent-up pressure?
Yeah, just like that. Only with beans.
In other news, my house got re-roofed today. At least I think it did. It’s at home (wait: it is home) and I’m at work so I can’t be totally certain yet, but there’s a really good chance that the re-roofing has happened. Or maybe they stripped all the shingles off and the delivery of new shingles never happened, and then rain poured down upon my roof as if it had been unleashed by a dam which, having… OK, OK, I won’t go there again. Suffice to say that either my house has been re-roofed or there’s a huge wet spot in my bedroom (no, that’s not what I meant. Let’s keep it clean, folks).
Right. You see what I mean? There’s some serious pent-up silliness welling up like a pressure… aaugh! These repetitive similes are building up inside me like a [Ed: the description of built-up similes has been removed like a wax strip on a girl’s leg in a beauty parlour].
I’d better get offa here now before this gets seriously out of hand.
