From the coming-soon department:

Wow. A whole week since the last time I blogged! This is definitely not in line with my goals for this lame blog. The worst part is that I have lots to write about but I want to get some photos done before I get to writing it all. I have wedding photos and cottage photos to post. They’ll be coming in the next day or two; I’ll probably put one or two of my faves up here on this lame blog and link to the rest for y’all.

In the meantime, here’s my latest gadget-addiction-fix: a (very small!) MP3 player. It’s not the smallest in the world (that would be the MobiBLU DAH-1500i) but it’s pretty kick-ass. 512MB, FM tuner, plays Ogg and uses a AAA battery — I think this is an advantage over the MobiBLU which has a built-in rechargeable that, once abused and used up, cannot be replaced. The big advantage for me was that I got it for $50 off — open-box sale. That, and the blue LED, sucked me right into getting it, and I’m really enjoying it. It’s so light and small that I can wear it as a pendant, which makes me look like a geek (but I don’t really give a damn if I look like a geek; I *am* part Geek).

Here’s a brief synopsis of all that’s happened with me since we last left our intrepid adventurer in his extremely weird blog on 20050824. I’ll expand more on these later, once the photos are done:

• Visits with friends on Friday
• Cottage trip on Saturday / Sunday (photos coming soon!)
• Not much interesting on Monday (Autonosys meeting)
• Met an amazing and totally cool person on Tuesday. Spent way more time than expected in the Byward market downtown, but it was worth every moment.

Oh, other fun stuff: this Saturday I’ve planned a car super-washing event. I hope lots of people come out and have fun — this means YOU (picture stereotypical Uncle Sam US Army recruiting poster here).
